Terms & Conditions

Last updated 24 August 2026

These terms apply to every session, package and booking made with Rohalya Wellness ("Rohalya", "we", "us"), whether booked online, by WhatsApp, or in studio. By booking with us you agree to them.

1. Nature of the service

Red light and near-infrared light is provided as a non-medical wellness modality only.

The service, the devices used and any benefits described have not been evaluated, registered or approved by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA).

It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition, and does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or the ongoing management of any chronic condition. Never stop, reduce or alter prescribed treatment or medication because of a session with us. Individual results vary and cannot be guaranteed.

Before your first session you accept these terms as a signed wellness disclaimer, confirming you have read and understood this section.

2. Your health declaration

You confirm that all health information you provide during the booking process is accurate, complete, and truthful. Rohalya relies on this information to determine whether the service is suitable for you. Providing false, incomplete, or misleading information may place your health at risk and may result in your booking being cancelled or treatment being refused.

3. Medical clearance

Certain conditions require written clearance from your doctor before treatment, including if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to fall pregnant; have or are being treated for cancer; have a condition that reacts badly to light; take isotretinoin, doxycycline, amiodarone, methotrexate or St John's Wort; have had eye surgery in the last three months or a serious eye condition; have skin cancer or a mole being monitored; have a thyroid condition; or have a pacemaker or other implant.

Where clearance is required, your booking remains pending until written approval has been received and accepted by Rohalya. We reserve the right to refuse treatment where we believe the service may not be safe.

4. Temporary conditions

Please do not attend your appointment if you:

  • have a fever, infection, or open wound
  • have had a chemical peel, laser treatment, or a new tattoo within the recommended waiting period
  • are under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs

If any of these apply, reschedule your appointment.

5. During your session

  • wear the eye protection provided throughout the session
  • follow all instructions given by staff
  • do not exceed the recommended treatment time
  • avoid oils, creams, or lotions before your appointment unless approved
  • tell staff immediately if you feel dizzy, overheated, uncomfortable, or unwell

6. Possible side effects

Although uncommon, some people may experience temporary mild skin redness, dry skin, headache, eye strain, or light-headedness. These effects are generally temporary. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice.

7. Bookings, payment and packages

Prices are shown in South African Rand and may differ per location. Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Yoco; we do not store your card details. Where the option is offered, you may pay at reception instead.

Session packages are valid for the period stated at purchase, are personal to you, and are non-refundable. Unused sessions expire at the end of the validity period. Coupons may be limited to specific treatments, locations, customers or packages, cannot be combined with package pricing unless expressly stated, and may be withdrawn at any time.

Cancellations and reschedules are governed by our Booking Policy.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits Rohalya's liability for injury or loss caused by our negligence, our staff, or defective equipment where liability cannot legally be excluded. You accept responsibility for any injury, complication, or adverse outcome resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information supplied by you.

9. Privacy

We collect and store your personal and health information as described in our Privacy Policy. It is accessed only by authorised staff and is not shared except where required by law.

10. Marketing (optional)

You may choose whether to receive promotional emails and whether photographs may be used for marketing. Your decision does not affect your ability to book treatment, and you may withdraw consent at any time.

11. Studio conduct and children

Our studios are quiet spaces. We ask that you arrive on time, keep phones silent, and treat staff and other guests with respect. Clients under 18 require a parent or guardian's written consent and must be accompanied. We may refuse or end a session where conduct affects the safety or comfort of others.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the version published here at the time of your booking applies. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
